SONGPLUGGING SERVICES

If you have been browsing our web site then you know how important it is to have someone pitch your song for you.  Sending a cd to an address in the phone book just don't work...well 99% of the time...

  We are affiliated with a serious songplugging group, Nashville Central, and they are very successful in their field.  It is the best way for the aspiring writer to have their song heard by the decision makers, including the artist themselves. In fact, one of our demos was heard recently by a major label here in town and the demo singer has now met with them two times and also performed a showcase for several labels. We highly recommend this service for anyone who wants to get their songs heard.

Nashville Central is an independent company.  We have arranged special fees for our clients based on a per song agreement.  It is standard for a songplugger to get a % of the publishing if the song gets recorded.  These terms are up to the individual plugger who is working your song.

One Month of Pitching            $100.00

You will get a pitch list of who your song was presented to by email. You will know exactly who received your demo.  Normally it could cost as much as $500.00's a month to retain a songplugger but this group of pluggers will add your song to a cd that may have 10 songs by various writers already on it.  The cd may go to the producer for Faith Hill or Kenny Chesney.  It depends on the song and what the artist and label is looking for...uptempo or slow...traditional or pop country.

RUNAWAY HEARTS PUBLISHING COMPANY

We work with major publishing companies on music row and our studio is located in the same suite as one of the newest and fastest growing publishing companies in Nashville, Runaway Hearts Music.  In fact, the songplugger's association holds its monthly meeting in our publishing company conference room.  We are always interested in great songs to pitch.  Our pluggers get inside tip sheets of who is recording and looking for songs.  If the song is signed to the publishing company there are no songplugging fees. They will only take a song if they believe it can get you a cut. The publishing company has it's own staff of songpluggers.

We will listen to your rough demo and our producer will call you to discuss the type of production you have in mind...female or male...tempo...instruments, etc.

  Then

We will add your production to a session date.  WE ONLY USE LIVE PLAYERS....You are always welcome to be here for the session if you wish. After the session we will overdub various instruments and vocalists on the tracks.  We mix in a computerized system so your mixes are stored permently...and changes are simple to make..like bringing out the vocals or guitar a more.  Then the song is mastered to bring out the presence in the demo....then your demo is radio ready.

After the demo is completed our producer will play the song for the publishing company staff.  If they feel that the song fits into their catalog needs they may want to contact you about signing an agreement. (One song was signed last week and the guy went crazy...thats a good feeling).... If not, I suggest working with our affiliate group of songpluggers.  Just because the publishing company turns down a song doesn't mean it won't get cut.  There have been many songs turned down by one company and then picked up by another one.
